Shopping: Carnaby Street Shopping Party

A couple of times a year, those in know, and those who are lucky enough to stumble across it, gather on Carnaby Street to grab some amazing bargains. The Carnaby Street Shopping Party encompasses the world famous street and its neighbours to offer 20% off in a massive range of shops, boutiques and restaurants for one evening only. 

This is the second one I've been to, and I was definitely not short of a few bargains before the night was through!


First stop for me was the newly opened Monki. The Swedish brand have brought their affordable, simple and off-the-moment fashion to London, and I was far from the only one hunting for a bargain. I bought a few uncomplicated items to help me build up my 'base wardrobe'.

Right next door to Monki is fellow Swedish chain Cheap Monday. Most well known for their jeans, this shop is loud. It's one of those hipster stores that needs to play its music ear blistering loud so that you don't ask the staff for help. However, the clothes are reminiscent of All Saints with less rips and tears, basic and subdued so that everything goes with anything. What I bought though, wasn't so tame. I've finally fallen into the neon trend, and I'm so in love with this jumper!

I attempted to try American Apparel too, but the queue was absolutely insane! Although not as huge as MAC, where a barrier had been set up outside to stop the hoards of bargain hunters.
